3rd Thursday of every month From 9am. Regular Stall holders:
As it’s held on thursdays, this market is less busy than its Nottingham equivalents. Parking is pricey (Eagle Centre or Assembly Rooms) but you can make it worth your while by also visiting the fabulous Market Hall, for local meats and eggs as well as the virtuously organic/vegetarian supermarket ‘Soundbites’ on the Morledge. This is a large market which unlike the Nottingham markets does allow a bit more competition - so you will find there’s pretty much two of each kind of stall. This is another market where you can enjoy an Ostrich burger, courtesy of Oslink. You can pick up freshly baked cakes and bread. There are a wide range of fruit and veg stalls. Organic items are harder to spot here. Image courtesy of Jan at Jem’s Homemade Produce |
