2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month From 9am.

Central Avenue, West Bridgford NG2 5GS

Regular Stall holders:

This very busy market is worth getting up early for, certainly when it comes to parking. If you arrive just before 9am you will often be able to find a parking space in the car park just behind the market off Albert Rd. After that time you’ll have to be cunning and find another spot.

This is a well established market with a really buzzing atmosphere. In addition to the regular Nottingham stall holders you will find a wider range of meat, Thai ingredients, fresh fish, game birds, fair trade products, coffees and cakes.

Speak to the lady at the Thai stall and she will often tell you recipes you can try and is extremely enthusiastic about her products. Meet Mr Pitchfork and try his Salsa - it is a firm Food Close favourite. Meet the owner of the Tuxford Windmill who sells fantastic porridge oats and flours.

You have a wealth of choices when it comes to grabbing a snack. Hot soup, a Bison burger, a sausage roll, a spring roll or even a cake.

To suppliment your market shopping, walk down from the market towards Gordon Road and visit the ‘Fruit Basket’ that specialises in organic groceries in addition to its fruit and veg. There is also a Co-op just down from the Farmers’ Market on Central Avenue.
